It does fall down there -- relies on the video card's software for the
pivot function.
It works OK with my Nvidia 6600GT, but is definitely clumsy to rotate --
they should have provided a utility.
I've found it's not too difficult provided you rotate the display before
turning the screen.
A friend sent me the Samsung software to try, but I've not done it yet --
haven't any particular use for screen rotation.
