[filmscanners] Re: Scanning Kodachrome anything new?



It's not the scanner per se, but dICE, the software that looks for
and then subtracts dirt, scratches, specks, etc.  As I understand it,
it uses an IR beam to find them.  The problem is that some Kodachrome
dyes are opaque in the IR, which renders the method useless.
