[filmscanners] Re: Nikon scanner availability

I have a Coolscan V, and I wonder - how long do these
things typically last? What are typical repair costs? For
how long are repair services guaranteed by Nikon?

Thinking (just thinking) about getting Nikon's high
end scanner that supports 120 film, but it's almost
$2K and I wonder how long it will remain in
service before it croaks without repair service
available, or *affordable* repair service available.
