[filmscanners] ADMIN: IMPORTANT! ADVANCE WARNING OF LIST SUSPENSION
With any luck, and after 87 faxes and a dozen emails to Pipex, the
halftone.co.uk domain transfer will happen this weekend, commencing 18:00
GMT Friday.
This means that UNTIL THE NEW DNS RECORDS PROPAGATE, MAIL TO THE LIST OR
LISTSERVER WILL BE LOST. DNS CHANGES WILL TAKE AROUND 48hrs, AFTER WHICH
NORMAL SERVICE WILL RETURN.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND MAIL TO THE LIST OR LISTSERVER THIS WEEKEND BETWEEN
1800 GMT FRIDAY 2 JUNE AND 0800 GMT MONDAY.
IF YOU WANT TO ENSURE THE LIST IS BACK BEFORE SENDING MAIL, PLEASE DO A
'WHOIS' LOOKUP LOCALLY. THE IPS TAG SHOULD SAY 'FASTHOSTS' (Fasthosts
Internet). IF IT STILL REFERS TO 'CIX' (Pipex Comms. UK Ltd) DO NOT SEND,
TRY AGAIN LATER.
This notice will also appear Thursday and Friday, and I will confirm this
with a further mail on Friday just before taking the list offline.
Well, at least it will cause about 2,000 weekend spams to bounce :-)
