Вот небольшой тест (ногами не бить) на машинке,
прямо скажем, не очень - celeron 333, 32Mb, IDE.
Linux/2.2.16, Apache/1.3.12, InterBase/4.0G.
простейшие скрипты (на C):
1. делает коннект/дисконнект к базе
2. просто выдает что-то типа "Hello, world!"
результаты ab -n 1500
