Если aio используется - попробовать отключить.

Также было бы замечательно пересобраться с --with-debug и 
попробовать получить debug log.

И было бы замечательно увидеть конфиг, по крайней мере части 
относящиеся к рассматриваемым запросам (я так понимаю там ssi?).
