But do bear in mind:
- if space is your primary concern, a high quality JPG will probably be fine,
and gives much smaller file sizes. PNG files only give a moderate reduction
from a compressed TIF..
- I have found PNG to be *annoyingly* slow to load/save in most graphics
programs, although I don't have a speed demon PC..
- Older graphics editors/viewers may not support it
