Its worth a lot.  What it is saying, very simply, is that if the use of 
refilled or third party ink carts causes damage to the printer, that 
Epson can ascertain, then they reserve the right to not repair those 
damages under warranty. They are further saying that using third party 
inks or refills does not void the basic warranty of the unit, should it 
fail due to other reasons than relating to non-Epson inks.

Epson needed to clarify this, because in easy printed material the 
impression was left that the full warranty might be voided if one 
refilled carts or used third party inks.
