You don't need to uninstall. Just download the new version, it overwrites
everything in the folder. The only thing I do is before the download I save my
old .ini file with my preferred settings in it to another folder. After I've
installed the new version I just copy the saved vuescan.ini over the one that
was installed, and all my settings are back where I want them.
Thank goodness it's so easy - I just downloaded 7.1.19 last night, and here's
7.1.20 this morning!

Clarify something for me. Is it better to uninstall the older version, or
will the new one just overwrite the old and I don't have to do anything but
download it?
