Do you have a Seattle motherboard? Have you been downloading
"Critical Updates?"
The recent Intel driver update can cause your Plextor driver
not to be recognized.
You can go to the control panel and check to see what driver
is associated. If you
have installed the Intel update, uninstall it and your drive
will work fine. Uninstall by
"start-programs-accessories-system tools-system information"
and then "tools-update
wizard uninstall." Then use Add/Remove program.
If this is the problem, you wouldn't be the first in the
last couple of weeks...........
