Any scanner or other device that is so poorly designed that EMI affects it
visibly is defective and should be replaced by something conceived by more
competent engineers. The idea that one should put devices on separate power
supplies and in separate rooms, or whatever, is absurd and impractical.

Then the solution is to replace the scanner, rather than build a
TEMPEST-conformant isolation chamber to hold it.
