I thought I'd better ask before actually posting an ad.  Note that this is
not the ad, only a request for info on list policy.

I have an extra scanner (it's a nice one, and essentially unused) that I am
preparing to sell on eBay.  I am currently having trouble getting eBay's
registration system to recognize me.  While waiting for their tech support
to respond, I had the thought of offering it to my Filmscanner cronies.
Since people here are "virtual friends", I would take the first offer at the
minimum bid price that I was going to set on eBay.  Let's just say it would
be a pretty good deal.

But if Tony wants to keep all traces of crass commercialism off the list, I
can understand...
