[filmscanners] RE: Linotype Saphir on a PC



Yes, I believe that they are both made by Umax.  As I understand it, it is a
firmware flaw or limitation and not really a hardware one per se or a
software one.  Thus, both scanners could very well share the same firmware
even if the haredware might have some variations.
