OK. Just substitute "shadow detail". I was only trying to say that
according to the test shots I've looked at, the LS 4000 gives better
shadow detail. Personally, I couldn't justify the additional cost of
the LS 4000, as I have no need for scans at 4000 ppi. So I plod along
with the Coolscan IV. But for really difficult slides, I do a little
better using Vuescan and multipass scans.
