Michael,

You're right.  The SCSI bus has a hard /RST signal on it, which really
doesn't require much signal integrity to "work".

I entered this conversation late, but as a note, typically, the problems
with SCSI are termination more than anything.  ALWAYS use active
terminators...ones with the little LED that shows TRMPWR is actually on.
