Bruce, why is this necessary?  I've run both on my PC without a problem
*provided* you don't ever run both at the same time.  If you run both at
the same time you'll confuse the scanner and probably hang the PC.  Having
said that, I never use Nikonscan because it destroys the quality of the
output from my LS30.  Nikonscan only uses 8 bits per channel from the LS30,
while Vuescan uses 10 bits per channel.  This shouldn't be an issue with
the current crop of scanners however.
