[filmscanners] Re: color negative/print film advice

I just scanned some 6x9 negs (TX400) I shot in full daylight. All the shots
except one really convey the sunny appearance of the scenes, except one shot
which looks like it was taken on a rainy day, even after some adjustment in
Photoshop. I know my exposure was way off with this one shot, even though I
can't see it in the negative.
Cheers,
Andre

Lately I've been doing nature photography with Portra 400UC and scanning
on my SS4000 using VueScan and have been very pleased with the result --
most of the time. About 25% of the time I get previews in VueScan that
are very low in contrast and I have to fiddle a lot in Photoshop to
strike a balance. Those shots never do "pop" the way the other 75% come
out, which are quite striking.
