Out of interest, are there any tests on the predicted longevity of DVD
writeable media? Is there a difference between DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW or
DVD+RW in terms of reliability?
Someone mentioned about generations of media - while I was in Japan last
year, Toshiba announced an optical disk which stored 10GB of data per side,
as opposed to the current 4.7GB of DVD writeable media.
