Hi,
so that means if one has lots of CD's full of scans or whatever which he
wants to storage for a long time the CD's have to be checked (both copies)
and should be backuped after some time again. Lots of work which
consumes lots of time.
My solution: I bought a changing frame (I don't know if it is the right
word, in German Wechselrahmen) for harddisk and make my backups on a
HD (120GB) which I storage on an secure (relatively) place. For more
security I will next use a second HD for copy of backup.
Like this a check of the backup and also the backup will go very fast.
About 1 hour for 40 GB.
And after years I will buy a new HD, same as when I use CD's.
The costs also are not so different as MB's either on HD or CD
nearly don't differ in price.
Regards.
Egon
