[filmscanners] What makes this grainy artifact?
I received a box of 35mm transparencies back from processing and after
scanning, I noticed a grainy effect throughout all the slides in the box.
Here is a very small snippet taken from a Photoshop screen at "actual
pixels" magnification. The film is Fujichrome Provia 100F. Processing was
done by Kodak.

What caused this?
