[filmscanners] Polaroid Sprintscan Problem - Fixes or new scanner?
I have a Polaroid Sprintscan 4000+ . It has become "invisible" to my
computer. My Mac (G-4, OS 10.2.8 running Photoshop 7) can't recognize
that it is connected, either to firewire which I've always used or to
USB. I've contacted Polaroid tech support and their things for me to
try haven't come up with any solutions. They think that it needs
service. They quoted me that service is anywhere from $440 to $600.
YIKES!
Have any of you had this problem? Any suggestions are appreciated.
If a new scanner is in order, what would you suggest. I've been happy
with the Polaroid's performance. 13"X19" is my largest output size.
