Then, pray tell, what is it? We so casually say, "Well, I think I'll change
the resolution of my monitor today." Funny how we all know exactly what that
means!

Maybe we should enter upon a philosophical discussion of what constitutes
nitpicking. Since in my book, nitpicking is such a familiar phenomenon on
this list, I think it's important for us to clarify the exact meaning of the
term.

Then there's Freudian denial. Do you want to know what a person is doing?
Precisely what he firmly denies he is doing!
