[filmscanners] RE: Nikon LS-40 vs Polaroid SS4000
Well, it HAS multiple LEDs (at least according to the Nikon spec sheet for
the 8000). I don't have one to look inside of, but I don't believe putting
a diffuser over a point light source (which an LED is) really makes it a
truly diffuse light source... Are you saying it does?
I'd be interested to know how many does it have, and over what span, as well
as any description you have on the arrangement of the LEDs, as in, do they
use a mixing chamber, how is the diffuser arranged, what's the light path...
Anything you can tell me first hand I'd appreciate.
